Harding Women's Soccer Lands Six on Academic All-District Team

SEARCY, Ark. — Six Harding University women's soccer players earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators.

The recipients were junior forward Whitney Thomas, sophomore goalkeeper Maysa Willis, senior defender Georgia Templeton, fifth-year seniors Carmen Gunn and Kelli Tindel, and junior midfielder Regan Thompson.

To qualify, student-athletes must reach sophomore status academically and athletically, hold a 3.50 GPA or higher, and participate in 90% of games or start 66%.

Thomas, an environmental science major from Benbrook, Texas, boasts a 3.65 GPA, playing in all 18 games.

Willis, a strength and conditioning major from Bentonville, Arkansas, maintains a perfect 4.00 GPA, starting all 18 games.

Templeton, a management and business ethics major from Fayetteville, Arkansas, holds a 3.50 GPA, starting every game.

Gunn, an information systems major from Benton, Kentucky, and Tindel, a social work major from Austin, Texas, both have 4.00 GPAs.

Gunn started all 18 games, while Tindel played in 15 with 14 starts.

Thompson, an exercise science major from Plano, Texas, has a 3.73 GPA, starting 16 games.
