Late Threes Lift Harding over Henderson State

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Josh Denton's late 3-pointers and a perfect 21-of-21 performance at the free throw line propelled Harding to an 86-75 victory over Henderson State in Great American Conference men's basketball action Saturday.
Denton's back-to-back 3-pointers with 3:33 and 2:39 left gave Harding a 75-69 lead. Wesley Booker added another 3-pointer with 2:01 left to make it 78-69, securing the win for the Bisons.
Keyln McBride had a standout performance with 20 points and a career-high 10 assists for his first career double-double. He also made all 13 of his free throw attempts, the fourth-most ever without a miss by a Harding player.
Rylie Marshall led Harding with 22 points, while Sam Smith added 16 points and nine rebounds. Denton scored 14 points, connecting on 4-of-5 3-pointers.
The win marked Harding's first victory in Arkadelphia since 2017.
Harding's perfect free throw shooting broke the previous record of 16 without a miss, set in 2016. The Bisons also made 13 of 27 3-pointers, their fifth game this season with 10 or more.
With the win, Harding improved to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in conference, while Henderson State fell to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in conference. Harding's next action is at home Thursday against Ouachita Baptist.
