Harding Men's Basketball Rolls Past Northwestern Oklahoma, 91-70

ALVA, Okla. — Harding cruised to a 91-70 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma in a Great American Conference men's basketball matchup Saturday at Percefull Field House.

The Bisons (5-3, 1-1) shot a scorching 9-of-14 from 3-point range and took a 51-40 lead into halftime. The Bisons shot 58.1% from the field in the first half.

Harding maintained its sharp shooting in the second half, connecting on 14-of-28 attempts (50%). Meanwhile, Northwestern Oklahoma (4-4, 1-1) went cold, shooting 39.1% in the half and 42.9% for the game.

The Bisons dominated the paint, outscoring the Rangers 36-18 in the interior. Harding also capitalized on turnovers, holding a 31-16 advantage in points off miscues. The Bisons committed only 12 turnovers, while Northwestern Oklahoma struggled with 22.

Rylie Marshall led five Harding players in double figures with 23 points, complemented by four rebounds and six assists. Stetson Smithson added 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while Josh Denton scored 15, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Keyln McBride contributed 11 points, six assists, and three steals, and Sam Smith rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points.

Max Alexander paced Northwestern Oklahoma with 22 points, converting 16 of 18 free throws.

Harding returns to action Thursday, hosting Arkansas-Monticello at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House in Searcy, Arkansas.
