Harding Women's Track Posts Three Provisionals; Nguema Breaks HU Hurdles Record

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Harding women's track turned in three NCAA provisional performances and set one school record Saturday at the Don DeNoon Invitational, hosted by Southern Illinois University at the SIU Recreation Center.

Sophomore Cella Nguema won the 60-meter hurdles with a provisional time and new Harding record of 8.77 seconds. She broke her own school record and ranks 33rd nationally in the event.

Freshman Leila Ngapout ran Harding's third-fastest 60-meter dash time ever, a provisional 7.59 seconds. She ranks 45th nationally in the 60 meters.

Sophomore Karyna Vehner placed second in the triple jump with a provisional mark of 11.82m (38-9.50). Vehner ranks 29th nationally in the triple jump.

Harding added one more event victory, with sophomore Candence Sansom winning the pole vault with a clearance of 3.68m (12-0.75).
