EMPORIA, Kan. — Senior Hanna Onufriieva delivered a season-best, historic performance in the triple jump to claim sixth place, leading the No. 11-ranked Harding women's track and field team on the second day of the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Welch Stadium.
Behind Onufriieva's podium finish, along with national-level achievements from senior Josie Parks in the steeplechase and freshman Roselyn Spencer in the heptathlon, the Lady Bisons officially put three points on the board, ending the second day tied for 29th in the national standings.
Onufriieva Soars to Sixth Place
Senior Hanna Onufriieva, a native of Kyiv, Ukraine, turned in one of the most clutch performances of her career when it mattered most. Competing in the first flight, Onufriieva fouled her first jump but responded on her second try by leaping 12.21m (40-00.75) to take a temporary lead. On her third attempt, she unleashed a season-best mark of 12.44m (40-09.75) to lead the first flight of 11 competitors.
Her mark secured her sixth place entering the finals, earning her three additional jumps. On her final attempt of the afternoon, Onufriieva flew to an outdoor personal-best mark of 12.62m (41-05.00) to seal sixth place.
The performance marks the highest finish ever by a Harding women's triple jumper at the outdoor national meet, and secures the program's second-ever First Team All-America honor in the event, joining Mariah Miller (7th, 2023).
Parks Earns All-America in Steeplechase Final
Senior Josie Parks, a native of Columbia, Tennessee, finished her standout career with a gritty performance in the 3,000-meter steeplechase final. Parks battled a fast field to finish 10th overall with a time of 10:36.49.
With her top-10 finish, Parks earned Second Team All-America honors. She joins Savita Chelimo (2006) as the only two steeplechase All-Americans in Harding women's track and field history, capping off a remarkable season that saw her lower her personal best to 10:26.96.
Spencer Completes Historic Multi
Freshman Roselyn Spencer completed her historic campaign as the first heptathlete in Harding history to qualify for the national meet. Entering the second day of competition in eighth place, the Paris, Texas native completed the final three heptathlon disciplines:
-
Long Jump: Spencer landed a mark of 5.43m (17-09.75) on her first attempt, finishing 10th in the discipline to earn 680 points.

-
800-Meter Run: Spencer finished her grueling heptathlon with a strong 2:25.68 performance in the 800m, taking 10th in the event (748 points).
Spencer finished 10th overall with a total score of 5,053 points, just shy of her career PR of 5,240. As one of only four freshmen in the 16-athlete field, Spencer earned Second Team All-America honors, establishing a bright future for the Lady Bisons on the multi-event national stage.
