ALVA, Okla. – Rory Geer scored 17 points and Kendrick Bailey added 15 points but No. 5 Harding fell 61-56 to Northwestern Oklahoma on Thursday in Great American Conference women's basketball action at Percefull Fieldhouse.
The loss ended Harding's 11-game winning streak and dropped the Lady Bisons to 22-3 overall and 17-2 in the GAC. Northwestern Oklahoma won its 15th straight home game and improved to 22-5 overall and 14-5 in conference.
Harding led for most of the game and after each of the first three quarters, but Northwestern Oklahoma took the lead with 5:24 left in the game as part of a 6-0 run, and the Rangers led the rest of the way.
Geer was 7-of-16 from the field and led Harding with eight rebounds. Bailey was 3-of-3 from 3-point range and is a perfect 9-of-9 from 3-point range against Northwestern Oklahoma this season.
Harding returns to action Saturday against Southwestern Oklahoma in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Tipoff is at 1 p.m.
