Bisons Bash Four Homers; Fall 11-10 in 10 Innings at Tech

Russellville, Ark. – Arkansas Tech's leadoff hitter in the bottom of the 10th inning homered to clinch an 11-10 victory for the Wonder Boys over Harding in nonconference action at Baswell Field.

Harding (12-3) is set to resume Great American Conference play on Friday, kicking off a three-game series against Southern Arkansas. Both teams are undefeated at 6-0 in conference play.

Despite Harding's 10-9 advantage going into the bottom of the ninth, Tech rallied to tie the game, forcing extra innings.

Initially securing a 4-0 lead with three home runs in the first two innings, Harding found itself trailing 8-4 after Tech struck for eight runs in the second inning.

However, Harding showed resilience by adding three runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth, propelling the Bisons to a brief 10-9 lead.

The offensive onslaught from Harding included home runs from Collin Helms, Coulton Doyle, Sebastian Martinez, and Michael Dewald. Helms and Martinez now boast five home runs each, while Doyle and Dewald have notched four apiece.

Nathan Bowie posted a career-best 4-for-5 performance, tying a school record with three doubles. He also contributed a triple, accumulating nine total bases, matching the highest tally in a game this season by any Harding player.

Logan Lacey went 3-for-5 with two RBIs, while Doyle scored three runs.

Harding used eight pitchers throughout the game. Notably, reliever Preston Tabor conceded only one run and struck out four over three innings. Dylan Penick, Javier Lobo, and Griffin Meeker delivered solid relief performances, each with a scoreless outing.
