Harding Baseball Drops Midweek Matchup at Missouri S&T

ROLLA, Mo. – In a game where the teams scored at least one run in 14 of the 18 half innings, Harding fell 15-14 to Missouri S&T of the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Tuesday in a nonconference game at the Ballpark at S&T.

The loss dropped Harding to 20-13 overall. The Bisons host Ouachita Baptist this weekend in Great American Conference play beginning Friday with a single game at 6 p.m. at Jerry Moore Field.

Harding scored in every inning except the first and seventh, but Missouri S&T answered each time.

The 14 pitchers used in the game combined to give up 29 runs on 23 hits with 15 walks, seven wild pitches and seven hit batters.

Harding's offense had 10 hits, including four for extra bases. Collin Helms went 3-for-6, scored a career-high four runs, and hit his team-leading ninth home run of the season. Logan Lacey scored three times and drove in two.

Harding's hitters walked a season-high 11 times but went only 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position.
