The Harding men's golf team improved on their record setting performance on Monday with an even better team round on Tuesday in the NCAA DII Central/Midwest Regional Tournament in Edmond, Oklahoma, shooting a 5-under 276 in Round 2 and is two strokes ahead of Grand Valley State for the tournament lead at 9-over 551.

Jose Arzu and Sam Tandy both finished Tuesday high on the leaderboard, both tied for 5th at 4-under 136. Arzu jumped into the top ten after another 2-under 68 included five birdies on the day. Tandy shot an even 70 in Round 2, sinking six birdies, pushing his tournament lead to 14 birdies in the tournament. 

Dennis Staykov tied his best round of the season and shot 28 spots up the leaderboard with a 4-under 66 that pushed him into a tie for seventh at 3-under 137. Staykov sank six birdies and now has nine for the tournament. 

Jose Peralta shot a 7-over 77 in Round 2 and sits tied for 85th at 8-over 148. Finlay Cummings shot a 1-over 71 in Round 2 and is tied for 91st at 9-over 149. 

The Bisons still lead the tournament field in birdies with 41 made. 

Harding will look to capture their first Regional title in program history as they tee off the third and final round at 12:40 p.m.
