Harding Women's Golf Sets Record at NSU Women's Classic

MUSKOGEE, Okla. - The Harding University women's golf team kicked off their season in impressive fashion at the 2024 NSU Women's Classic, hosted by Northeastern State at the Muskogee Country Club in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Lady Bisons placed third overall among 19 teams, beating all nine Great American Conference schools in attendance.

Harding set a new program record with a 36-hole score of 22-over 590, surpassing the previous record of 594 set last year. The team shot 291 in round one and 299 in round two.

Senior transfer Sarah Kmiecik made a remarkable debut for Harding, finishing fourth overall at 140, a new school record. Kmiecik shot 2-under 69 in round one and even par 71 in round two.

The Lady Bisons will look to build on this momentum at their next tournament, the Grace Shin Regional Preview, hosted by Central Oklahoma at the KickingBird Golf Course in Edmond, Oklahoma, on Oct. 7-8.
