SHAWNEE, Okla. — Top-ranked Harding dominated Oklahoma Baptist 59-7 on Saturday night at Crain Family Stadium, showcasing their impressive offense and stifling defense.
The Bisons (2-0) amassed 415 rushing yards, with five players scoring touchdowns. Blake Delacruz led the charge with 68 yards and two scores, while Braden Jay added 65 yards and a touchdown. Delacruz's two touchdown runs gave him 36 for his career and moved him into sole possession of third place on Harding's career rushing touchdown list.
Cole Keylon completed 4 of 6 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown, and Malik Young contributed 19 yards passing and a rushing score. Andrew Miller and Josh Strickland, Jr. also had second half touchdowns.
Harding's defense held Oklahoma Baptist (0-2) to just 153 total yards, including only 27 rushing yards, and forced two interceptions, the first from Darion Dunlap-Johnson on the opening series of the game and the second resulting in a G'Kyson Wright 15-yard touchdown return.
Harding's victory marked their 21st consecutive regular-season win, solidifying their position atop the rankings.
Harding scored seven touchdowns on its first eight drives with a 36-yard Magnus Lepak field goal coming on the other drive, just 10 seconds before halftime.
Harding led 31-7 at halftime and improved to 9-0 all-time against Oklahoma Baptist.
