SEARCY, Ark. (Oct. 13, 2025) — The Harding Bisons (6-0) are maintaining a firm grip on the No. 2 spot in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, presented by Hudl, following a commanding 35-7 victory over Southeastern Oklahoma State.
Ferris State (6-0) held onto the top spot, and Harding earned 744 points in the poll, marking the Bisons' 84th straight appearance in the AFCA Top 25. (Our former #84 Brotherhood honoree this week is kicker Grant Ennis)
Harding's flexbone attack has positioned them as the only team in the nation averaging more than 400 yards rushing, leading Division II in Rushing Offense at 425.7 yards per game. Slot back Braden Jay is the engine, ranking No. 8 nationally in Rushing Yards Per Game (111.5 yards). The backfield depth is equally impressive, with running back Andrew Miller sitting No. 2 in the country in Rush Yards Per Carry (6.74).
Defensively, Harding boasts the No. 1 Scoring Defense in the entire nation, allowing a meager 5.5 points per contest. This stifling effort is key to their No. 3 national ranking in Total Defense, holding opponents to just 210.5 yards.
The defense is anchored by linebacker Clark Griffin, who leads the GAC and ranks No. 11 nationally in Total Tackles (10.3 per game), spearheading a unit that also ranks No. 3 in Rushing Defense (88.7 yards allowed per game).
Harding's schedule offers no respite, as they travel to Arkadelphia this Saturday, Oct. 18, to face rival Henderson State. The Reddies, who are receiving votes in the national poll, will provide a serious test as the Bisons look to extend their perfect record and solidify their standing in the national title picture.
