Harding Guarantees Flight 4 Title, Advances Three to GAC Finals

SEARCY — Harding men's tennis dominated the singles bracket, advancing three players to the finals—including securing an all-Bison championship match in Flight 4—on the first day of the Great American Conference Individual Championships at Berryhill Park on Thursday.

The team's most significant success came in Flight 4, where Ignacio de Lorenzo and Jan Alexander Has both reached the final without dropping a set in their respective runs. The two teammates will face each other in Friday's championship, guaranteeing Harding the Flight 4 title.

Freshman Luke Rhoden also advanced to a singles final, winning his Flight 5 semifinal match 6-3, 6-4 over William Von Pongracz of Southern Arkansas. Rhoden will play Shun Wakino of Southern Arkansas for the title Friday.

Harding also saw two teams reach the doubles semifinals. In Flight 1, the duo of Cian Mikkelsen and Adrian Solorzano secured an 8-3 victory over Jose Pinto and Luke Tinnock of Southeastern Oklahoma to advance.

In Flight 2, Edoardo D'Arrigo and Luis Agullo moved into the semifinals after an 8-2 win against Lucas Ibanez and Shun Wakino of Southern Arkansas.

The doubles semifinals and all remaining finals are scheduled for Friday.
