BETHANY, Okla. – No. 2 Harding amassed 504 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, dominating Southern Nazarene 52-14 on Saturday in front of 2,754 fans at SNU Football Stadium to remain undefeated in Great American Conference play.
The Bisons (10-0, 10-0) start a season 10-0 for only the third time in program history, joining the 2016 and 2023 (national championship) teams. It also marked the first time in Harding history the Bisons have rushed for over 500 yards in three consecutive games. Harding generated 586 yards of total offense while holding Southern Nazarene (1-9, 1-9) to 285.
Harding's ground attack, which averaged 10.3 yards per carry (fourth-best in program history), was led by two 100-yard rushers. Andrew Miller ran for 109 yards on 11 carries, highlighted by a 67-yard touchdown. It was his fourth straight game eclipsing 100 yards. Braden Jay added 103 yards on just six carries, scoring three touchdowns, all in the first half.
While the offense controlled the clock, the Bisons' defense, which leads the nation in passing efficiency, held Southern Nazarene to just 49 passing yards on six completions.
Senior linebacker Clark Griffin led Harding with 14 tackles (five solo, nine assist). He also recorded half a tackle for loss, giving him 44.0 for his career and moving him into first place in Harding's NCAA-era record book.
After a slow start that included a career-long 69-yard punt by Luke Mammana (seventh-longest in program history), Harding's offense found its rhythm. Jay scored on a 9-yard run to cap a 63-yard drive in the first quarter, set up by a 26-yard pass from Cole Keylon to Bodie Neal, who had four receptions for 72 yards.
The Bisons blew the game open with four touchdowns in the second quarter. Keylon broke free for a 56-yard touchdown run, followed by two more scoring runs from Jay (36 and 26 yards). Miller's 67-yard sprint up the middle gave Harding a 35-0 lead at halftime.
Southern Nazarene scored its first touchdown in the third quarter on a 25-yard run by Kaden Manuel, just two plays after Harding's first interception of the season. The Bisons answered immediately on the next play from scrimmage with a 71-yard touchdown run by Christian Franklin.
SNU added a 24-yard touchdown pass to Davon Sparks later in the quarter, but Harding's Magnus Lepak added a 30-yard field goal, and Josh Strickland, Jr. concluded the scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run in the fourth.
Harding dominated on third down, converting 5-of-10 opportunities while holding the Crimson Storm to 3-of-12. The Bisons were also a perfect 3-for-3 in the red zone.
Keylon finished 6-of-8 passing for 82 yards, moving into Harding's career top 10 for passing yards. Keylon and Griffin both made their 50th career starts.
The win extends Harding's streak to 28 consecutive victories against opponents from Oklahoma. The Bisons are now 35-1 in their last 36 conference games and lead the all-time series against SNU 12-1.
Harding will conclude the regular season next Saturday against Arkansas Tech in Russellville. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
