SEARCY - Reggie Webster continued his stellar freshman campaign with 20 points, and Harding extended its winning streak to six games with a 66-53 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon at Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
Webster shot 8 of 12 from the floor and led a balanced Bisons attack that saw Keyln McBride add 14 points and Wesley Booker chip in a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. Booker was a force defensively, recording three blocks and two steals while helping Harding control the interior.
Harding (6-2, 2-0 GAC) remains perfect at home this season, improving to 6-0 at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House. The Bisons used a decisive first half to build a 37-28 lead at the break, fueled by 22 points in the paint and 11 points off turnovers.
Northwestern Oklahoma State (3-5, 0-2 GAC) struggled offensively, shooting just 31.7% from the field and 17.2% (5 of 29) from 3-point range. Max Alexander led the Rangers with a game-high 21 points but needed 21 shots to get there.
The Bisons held NWOSU without a field goal for the final 4:38 of the game, closing the door defensively to secure the win. Harding shot 43.6% for the game and outrebounded the Rangers 42-33.
Harding returns to action Tuesday when they travel to face Arkansas-Monticello.
