Harding Baseball Achieves Program-Best No. 13 Ranking

SEARCY, Ark. - The Harding baseball team made history on Tuesday by earning its highest ranking ever in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Poll. The Bisons are No. 13 in the latest poll, surpassing their previous best ranking of No. 16 achieved twice in 2011.

Harding's 16-2 start to the season, including a school-record 14-game winning streak, has caught the attention of coaches and media across the country. 64Analytics named Harding is No. 2 Team of the Month for February and named Harding's Maddox Long the February Pitcher of the Month.

Offensively, Harding leads the GAC and ranks 25th nationally with a .436 on-base percentage. The pitching staff has been outstanding, leading the nation in WHIP (walks+hits/innings pitched) at 0.99, ranking second nationally with a 5.18 strikeout-to-walk ratio and sixth with a 2.45 ERA.

Harding is 9-1 in conference play and sets atop the Great American Conference standings. The Bisons return home to Searcy this weekend to host Henderson State after winning two of three games last weekend at Ouachita Baptist.
