Harding's Peralta Earns Weekly GAC Honor

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Harding's Jose Manuel Peralta has been named the Great American Conference men's golfer of the week.

Peralta, a junior from Madrid, Spain, earned his first collegiate tournament victory at the Shadow Valley Invitational, winning by six strokes. He carded consecutive rounds of 2-under 70, including four straight birdies on the front nine in his second round.

Peralta finished at 4-under par, the only golfer under par for the event. His performance helped the No. 21 Bisons capture the team title by four shots.

Sydney Kincade, a Harding sophomore, was also nominated for women's golfer of the week honors.
