FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Harding men's golf team finished the first round of the Great American Conference Tournament in third place on Monday at Hardscrabble Country Club. The Bisons carded a team score of 12-over 292.
Christian Lindgreen paced the Bisons with a first-round score of even-par 70 and is in fifth place. His round included four birdies, including three on par 5s.
Finlay Cummings shot 1-over 71 and is in seventh, while Jose Arzu carded a 3-over 73 and is 16th. The remaining Harding scores were Dennis Staykov at 8-over 78 and Jose Manuel Peralta at 10-over 80.
Henderson State leads the tournament after the first round with a score of 1-over 281. Josh Van Niekerk of Southern Nazarene is the individual leader after shooting a 3-under 67.
The second round of the GAC Tournament will be played Tuesday with the final round on Wednesday.
