FORT SMITH, Ark. - The Harding women's golf team finished second at the Great American Conference (GAC) Championship, which concluded Tuesday at Hardscrabble Country Club.
Harding finished with a total score of 914 (+74). Henderson State won the tournament with a score of 888 (+48), with Arkansas Tech finishing third at 921 (+81). Harding's 914 was its best score ever in the GAC Championships.
Harding's individual player results: Sarah Kmiecik (227, +11, 5th). Kmiecik earned All-Tournament honors for her top-5 finish. Sydney Kincade (231, +15, tied for 6th), Pilar Martinez (236, +20, tied for 14th), Madeleine Wilson (249, +33, 27th), and Cooper Meyer (254, +38, tied for 31st).
On Monday, April 28, the NCAA will announce the 18-team field to compete in the NCAA Central Regional at Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond, Oklahoma, on May 5-7. Harding was ranked No. 4 in the most recent Central Region rankings.
