MAYETTA, Kan. (AP) - Jose Manuel Peralta led the 21st-ranked Harding men's golf team with a strong sixth-place individual finish at the Firekeeper Open, which wrapped up Tuesday at the Firekeeper Golf Course. Peralta carded a 3-under-par 213 (72-69-72) over the three rounds. It was the fourth top-10 finish in eight events for the 29th-ranked player in Division II.
As a team, the Bisons finished eighth in the competitive NCAA Division II field, posting a total score of 888 with rounds of 299 and 292.
Washburn's Blake Saffell took home individual medalist honors with a 9-under-par 207.
Harding's other scores included Jose Ignacio Arzu Garcia, who finished at 9-over 225, and Dennis Staykov, who carded a 10-over 226. Finlay Cummings and Christian Lindgreen both finished at 15-over 231 for the Bisons.
Oklahoma Christian claimed the team title with a score of 859.
