Harding Women's Track and Field Excels at Arkansas Twilight

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Harding women's track and field team had a strong showing at the Arkansas Twilight, with several athletes posting top performances that could boost their chances of qualifying for the NCAA national meet.

Top Performances:

4x400 meter relay: The team of Omolara Ogunmakinju, Leila Ngapout, Lisa Retailleau, and Tetiana Kharashchuk set a new school record with a time of 3:39.87, ranking 13th in Division II.

Omolara Ogunmakinju: Ran a 52.65 400 meters, moving her to sixth nationally in Division II.

Cadence Sansom: Cleared 3.90m (12' 9.5") in the pole vault, moving her to 23rd nationally.

Leila Ngapout: Ran an 11.89 100 meters, finishing second in the event.

Tetiana Kharashchuk: Ran a 53.60 400 meters. She ranks 12th nationally with a season-best time of 53.27.

Lisa Retailleau: Ran a 1:01.21 400 meters hurdles, finishing sixth in the event. She ranks 25th in Division II with a top time of 1:00.23.

Harding will host the Chick-fil-A Mother's Day Last Chance Meet on Sunday at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track and Field Complex, providing athletes with one final opportunity to improve their chances of qualifying for nationals.
