Bisons Just Miss National Qualification; Finish Tied for Fifth at NCAA Regional

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The 24th-ranked Harding men's golf team concluded its 2024-25 season with a tied-for-fifth finish out of 20 teams at the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional. The Bisons fell just two strokes shy of advancing to the national tournament, which will feature the top four teams from the event.

Harding carded a final-round 284, even par, to finish at 17-over 869. Central Oklahoma, Missouri-St. Louis, Missouri S&T, and Central Missouri secured spots in the national tournament.

Dennis Staykov led the Bisons with a stellar final round, shooting 3-under 68. Staykov's impressive performance included five birdies and an eagle on the par-5 17th hole, concluding the tournament at 1-over and finishing in 12th place.

The rest of the Harding roster finished as follows: Jose Manuel Peralta tied for 22nd at 4-over, Finlay Cummings tied for 44th at 8-over, Jose Arzu finished 51st at 9-over, and Christian Lindgreen placed 79th at 13-over.

Marco Anderson of Washburn and Yadhu Urs secured individual spots in the national tournament, finishing at 6-under and 2-under, respectively.
