SEARCY – The Harding men's golf team is celebrating academic success as two of its standout student-athletes, Christian Lindgreen and Finlay Cummings, have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team for NCAA Division II. This prestigious honor recognizes their exceptional achievements both in the classroom and on the golf course.
To be eligible for Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, a significant contributor on the field or course, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50.
Christian Lindgreen, a fifth-year senior from Fleet, England, exemplifies the ideal student-athlete. He has maintained a perfect 4.00 GPA while pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and Sport Administration. On the course, Lindgreen has been a consistent performer for the Bisons, contributing with a 73.48 stroke average and three top-10 finishes. He earned Second Team All-GAC honors.
Joining Lindgreen in receiving this accolade is fellow countryman Finlay Cummings, a senior from Bedford, England. Cummings boasts an impressive 3.84 GPA as an International Business major. His contributions to the team this season included a 74.82 stroke average and six rounds of par or better.
The Bisons concluded their season with a strong showing at the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional, finishing fifth, after a second-place finish in the GAC Championship.
