BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Harding women's track and field team rewrote the program record books on Thursday, with Carly Tucker and Roselyn Spencer producing two of the top-five pentathlon scores in school history at the Samford Invitational.
Sophomore Carly Tucker captured second place in the meet with a career-high 3,327 points. The performance moved her to No. 3 on Harding's career performers list, surpassing her previous personal bests to secure the silver medal behind South Alabama's Calli Stokes (3,460 points).
Roselyn Spencer made a spectacular debut in the event for the Lady Bisons. She compiled 3,247 points to finish fifth overall in the competition and immediately inserted her name at No. 4 on Harding's all-time list, giving the Lady Bisons a dominant presence in the event's historical standings.
