TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest NCAA Division II Men's Top 25 Coaches Poll on Wednesday, with Harding maintaining its position among the nation's elite.
The Bisons (5-2) are ranked No. 25 in the country following a rigorous three-match road swing through Texas last weekend. During that stretch, Harding tested itself against two programs currently sitting in the top six of the new poll—No. 5 UT Tyler and No. 6 Lubbock Christian—while also securing a dominant 7-0 shutout of UT Permian Basin.
The ITA Top 25 Coaches Poll is determined by the ITA National Ranking Committee, which consists of eight regional chairs and a national chair who each cast individual secret ballots.
Harding is one of two MIAA/GAC programs represented in the Top 25, joined by North Division powerhouse Washburn, which climbed to No. 4. Fellow conference member Nebraska-Kearney was among those also receiving votes in the latest release.
The Bisons have been a mainstay in the national rankings this spring under first-year head coach Craig Kirchgessner. The team's 5-2 start includes a perfect 1-0 record in MIAA/GAC South divisional play.
After a grueling start to the season that saw the Bisons play their first seven matches away from home, Harding will finally return to Searcy for its 2026 home opener. The Bisons are scheduled to host Northwest Missouri State on Monday, March 2, at the David Elliott Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
