VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Harding University's Jerlana Williams and Tetiana Kharashchuk etched their names into the program record books Friday, earning Second Team All-America honors at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The duo secured top-12 finishes at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, marking historic milestones for the Lady Bison sprint program.

Williams Matches Program Mark Sophomore Jerlana Williams became just the second Lady Bison in school history to earn indoor All-America honors in the 60-meter dash. Competing in the first heat of the preliminaries, Williams clocked a 7.47 to finish 10th overall.

She joins Cathy Ebenja (2012) as the only Harding athletes to achieve All-America status in the event. Williams was remarkably close to the national final, finishing just .01 seconds behind the ninth-place runner and .02 seconds off the qualifying pace.

Kharashchuk Breaks Through In her second trip to the indoor national championships, senior Tetiana Kharashchuk claimed her first career All-America honor. Kharashchuk won the fifth heat of the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.92, placing her 11th in the national field.

The performance makes her only the second Lady Bison to become an indoor All-American in the 400 meters, joining Omolara Ogunmakinju, who set the precedent last season.

Saturday Outlook Harding continues national championship action Saturday with two athletes scheduled to compete in field events.

Hanna Onufriieva will represent the Lady Bisons in the triple jump starting at 2:30 p.m. (CDT), followed by Candence Sansom in the pole vault at 3:00 p.m. Fans can follow live results and streaming coverage via the NCAA and Leone Timing.
