Harding’s Ty Suess Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

SEARCY, Ark. – Harding junior guard Ty Suess has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Suess, a Finance major from Indianapolis, Indiana, maintains a 3.93 cumulative grade point average.

On the court, Suess was a vital fixture in the Bisons' rotation during the 2025-26 campaign. Starting in 31 of Harding's 32 games, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 7.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest. He proved to be a reliable scoring threat, shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 78 percent from the free-throw line.

Suess recorded a season-high 16 points and five steals in a victory over East Central on Jan. 17. He also showed his versatility during the postseason, pulling down a season-high nine rebounds against Southeastern Oklahoma in the GAC Tournament on March 6.

A transfer from Southeastern Illinois College, Suess transitioned seamlessly to the NCAA Division II level. His 32 games played this season tied a Harding single-season record, while his 31 starts rank seventh in program history for a single year.

Before arriving in Searcy, Suess was a standout home-school athlete, earning NCHBC All-American honors and the 2023 MCHC Player of the Year award.

Off the court, Suess is known for his unique hobbies—including a lifelong passion for competitive swimming and building complex LEGO sets—and his high academic standing, having previously been named to the President's List at SIC.

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative GPA and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games or started in at least 66 percent of the games.

As an Academic All-District honoree, Suess now advances to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. The Academic All-America teams will be announced in mid-April.
