SEARCY, Ark. — Harding University senior shortstop Cooper Newsom and freshman outfielder Easton Jones have both been named to the 2026 Natural State Baseball (NSB) All-Arkansas Collegiate Honorable Mention team, the organization announced this week.
The duo headlines the Bisons' representation on the annual statewide list, which honors the top standout performers across all divisions of college baseball in Arkansas.
Newsom, a senior from Smyrna, Tennessee, caps off a spectacular season where he anchored the middle of the Bisons' infield. He was a driving force for the Harding offense all year, ultimately shattering the program's single-season record by driving in a Great American Conference-best 65 RBIs.
Jones, a freshman from Cedar Grove, Tennessee, earned his spot after an exceptional debut campaign in Searcy. The rookie outfielder immediately adjusted to collegiate pitching, pacing the Bisons with a .343 batting average and a team-high 20 doubles.
