LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Harding senior
Tiffany Chambers placed fourth of 20 competitors Friday in the pole vault at the Cardinal Twilight Classic, hosted by the University of Louisville.
Chambers, a native of Rogers, Ark., entered the weekend ranked 11th in Division II in the pole vault and was using the meet as one final tune-up before competing at the NCAA II Outdoor National Championships in Pueblo, Colo., on May 23-25.
Chambers missed her first two vaults at the opening height of 11 feet, 2.50 inches before clearing the height on her third try. She then cleared 11-08.50 and 12-02.50 on her first attempts. Chambers missed on three attempts at 12-08.50, which would have broken her own school record.
