Harding Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 to Palm Beach Atlantic

SEARCY, Ark. - Palm Beach Atlantic senior Johnathon Clark knocked in the game-winning goal off a rebound in a 1-0 victory over Harding on Monday at the HU Soccer Field. The game was a match-up of two NCAA South Region foes. Palm Beach Atlantic entered the game ranked No. 7 in the regional poll.

Palm Beach Atlantic (3-0-0) held a 9-5 shot advantage in the first half, but neither team scored.

In the 60th minute, Palm Beach Atlantic senior Chance Sumner got behind the Harding defense. His shot was deflected by Harding goalkeeper Andrew Flesher, and the ball went to Clark who tapped in the game's only goal. It was his third of the season.

Harding (0-5-0) had 10 shots in the game, four on goal, but failed to score for the fifth consecutive half.

The Bisons are back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. at home against Texas-Tyler.
