SEARCY – West Florida junior Sean Reynolds scored a pair of goals less than two minutes apart to give the Argos a 2-0 victory over Harding in Gulf South Conference men's soccer action Sunday at the HU Soccer Field.

Harding (1-6, 1-2) suffered its second conference loss and needs to win at least one of its final two GSC games to remain alive for a conference tournament berth.

West Florida (5-3-2, 2-0) remained perfect in conference play after defeating Ouachita Baptist 1-0 on Friday.

Harding limited West Florida's typically prolific offense to only five shots on goal, but Reynolds took advantage early. He scored from just six yards out only 6:06 into the game for his first goal of the season. At the 7:30 mark, Reynolds headed in a Marquel Waldron free kick for his second goal in 84 seconds.

West Florida outshot Harding 15-7. The Bisons had just two shots on goal, and Argo senior Elliott Purdom earned his third shutout of the season.

Harding goalkeeper Will Reno had three saves.

The Bisons will be back in action Tuesday for a non-conference contest against Christian Brothers. The match at the HU Soccer Field will begin at 7 p.m.
