Road Win: Bison Tennis Defeats Lambuth

Harding improved to 10-3 on the season

Chris Beach won both singles and doubles.
JACKSON, Tenn. - The Harding men's tennis team defeated Lambuth 8-1 on Tuesday. The Bisons improved to 10-3 on the season, 5-1 on the road and 3-1 against Division II South Region teams.

Harding won all three doubles matches. Marco Ruiz and Ivan Michelli combined for the first time and won easily, 8-3, at No. 1. Adam Edwards and Chris Beach moved to 4-3 as a duo with an 8-1 victory at No. 2, and Corey Stumne and Helio Hashimoto won for the second time 8-1 at No. 3.

The Bisons also took five of the six singles matches. Beach improved to 3-4 with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2. Edwards won his second straight match and improved to 6-4 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 3. Michelli won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 for his sixth straight win and team-leading eighth victory overall. Hashimoto moved to 7-2 and did not lose at set in a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5, and Stumne remained undefeated at 5-0 in singles with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6.

Harding has won four straight overall. Lambuth fell to 2-2.
