MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Harding women's tennis team set a school record with its 23rd victory of the season and advanced to the semifinals of the Gulf South Conference Tournament with a 5-1 win over West Alabama.
With the win against West Alabama, Harding (23-7) moved on to meet Valdosta State in the semifinals, where it fell 5-0.
Harding entered the tournament ranked No. 12 in the NCAA Division II South Region. The NCAA Selection Committee will choose 10 teams on April 28 to compete in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Harding men's team fell 5-0 to West Florida in the quarterfinals of its tournament. The Bisons are also ranked 12th in the South Region. The men's selection committee will choose 12 teams to compete at the NCAA Tournament. That announcement will also come on April 28.
