WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – Despite 30 shot attempts, the Harding men's soccer team scored only twice and fell 3-2 to Williams Baptist on Tuesday in non-conference action.

The loss dropped Harding to 0-2, while Williams Baptist collected its first win to improve to 1-2.

Neither team had scored a goal this season entering the game, but the goals came quickly Tuesday. Williams Baptist netted the first goal in the 13th minute on Edward Piccinini's penalty kick.

Harding answered just over four minutes later when sophomore Richard Glenn netted his first career goal on a corner kick, assisted by Josh Ireland and Jackson Savage.

The game was not tied for long; as Williams Baptist scored again in the 20th minute to take a 2-1 lead. Forward Jorge Mojica dribbled through the right side of the Harding defense and beat goalkeeper Will Reno.

The Bisons tied the game for the second time in the 29th minute. Savage set up forward Glen Stewart with a cross, and Stewart scored his first goal of the season and second of his career. Both of Stewart's goals have come against Williams Baptist.

Savage's two assists were the first of his collegiate career.

This time the game remained tied until just before halftime, when Mojica again got loose on the right side and scored his second goal of the game. It was the eventual game-winner.

Harding replaced Reno in goal at halftime as junior Zach Auala made his Bison debut. Auala had two saves in the second half.

The Bisons outshot the Eagles 20-8 in the first half but still found themselves trailing. Williams Baptist got off 12 shots in the second half to Harding's 10. The Eagles had been outshot 30-3 in the second half of their previous two games.

Stewart had eight of Harding's shots, and Savage had six. Connor Galloway was the last Bison to have eight or more shots in a game, shooting eight times last season against Ouachita Baptist

Galloway, Harding's leading scorer last season, was injured in the Bisons' first game of the season and did not play against Williams Baptist.

NOTES: Tuesday's win was the first for Williams Baptist in eight meetings against Harding … the Bisons will travel to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday seeking their first win away from Searcy since Oct. 12, 2008, a span of 15 games.
