SEARCY – Harding scored twice in the game's first 10 minutes and cruised to a 6-0 victory over Williams Baptist in men's soccer action Tuesday at First Security Stadium.

The game was the second of four straight at home for the Bisons who play their next two against Gulf South Conference foes. Harding (5-9-1) hosts Delta State on Friday and Christian Brothers on Sunday.

Senior Connor Galloway scored two goals and added an assist for the Bisons, and junior Jackson Savage had three assists, including both Harding goals in the first half. Freshman Jacob Stevens scored first for Harding in the 6th minute, hitting the upper left corner from the top of the 18-yard box after Savage saved the ball off the end line.

Williams Baptist went a man down in the seventh minute, as Esteban Piccinini was sent off for a flagrant foul off the ball.

With the man advantage, Galloway made it 2-0 in the 10th minute after taking a pass from Savage and drilling a shot into the corner from 30 yards out.

Williams Baptist (4-8-0) held Harding scoreless for the next 50 minute, but once Galloway tallied again in the 61st minute, the goals came flooding in for the Bisons. Freshman Ian Park scored his second goal of the season in the 69th minute on an assist from Galloway.

Freshman Cole Walker scored his first collegiate goal on Savage's third assist in the 82nd minute, and redshirt freshman Jona Amssoms completed the scoring in the 87th minute on a blast from the top of the box.

Savage's three assists marked only the fourth time in program history that a player had three or more assists in a game. The last two do it was Harding assistant coach Brock Williams, who had three assists against Ouachita Baptist in 2006.

Harding outshot Williams Baptist 34-7. It was the Bisons' highest shot total since taking 45 against Rust in 2008.

The six goals by the Bisons were the most in a game this season and the most since scoring six against Williams Baptist in 2009.

Harding starting goalkeeper Zach Auala made two saves in the first half before giving way to redshirt freshman Will Lynn, who made one save in the second half to seal the shutout. It was the Bisons' second shutout this season. The other came in Harding's opening game, a 1-0 shutout of Lynn on Aug. 29.

Galloway's two goals gave him 17 for his career, moving him into fourth on Harding's career scoring list. The senior from Normal, Ill., had eight shots, four on-goal.
