SEARCY – The Harding men's basketball team goes in search of its fourth straight victory Saturday when it hosts Central Baptist at the Rhodes Field House for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
The game will air live on Harding's TV-16, HardingSports.com, and KVHU-95.3 FM with Billy Morgan and Scott Goode on the call. Live audio and live statistics will also be available on HardingSports.com.
Harding moved to 3-1 on the season Thursday with a 92-60 victory over Champion Baptist in Searcy. The Bisons had five players score in double figures with junior Bradley Spencer leading the team with 15 points.
Harding shot 58 percent from the field and made nine 3-pointers for the fourth consecutive game.
Central Baptist enters the game with a 3-8 record. The Mustangs are coming off an 86-82 victory over Crowley's Ridge on Nov. 29 that snapped a five-game losing streak. Junior forward Blake Hanney connected on three 3-pointers in the game and led Central Baptist with 16 points.
Harding and Central Baptist have met eight times prior to Saturday's game with the Bisons winning all eight. The last meeting, on Dec. 4, 2010 was the closest game in the series. Harding defeated Central Baptist 69-54.
Saturday's game is the second of fourth straight home games for the Bisons. The home stand will continue on Dec. 6 against Christian Brothers.
