TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Harding men's tennis team blanked Stillman College 9-0 on Tuesday in a matchup of NCAA II South Region teams.
Harding improved to 6-0 overall in winning its first South Region match of the season.
The Bisons, ranked 15th in the South Region, had little difficulty at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. At No. 2, Ivan Michelli and Helio Hashimoto won 9-7 and remained perfect at 7-0 as a duo this season.
Harding won all six singles matches as well. Two of the matches went three sets, with Henrique Ruiz winning 7-6, 6-7, 10-2 at No. 1 and Michelli victorious 6-4, 6-7, 11-9 at No. 3.
Aldo Campos (No. 2) and Tyler Samuel (No. 6) both collected their first singles victories of the season. It was Samuel's first collegiate singles win. Adam Edwards won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 and is unbeaten in six dual singles matches this season.
