BATESVILLE, Ark. – The top three hitters in Harding's lineup combined for eight hits, nine runs and eight RBI in the 18th-ranked Bisons 15-1 victory over Lyon College on Tuesday at Scots Field. Harding defeated Lyon 15-0 in Searcy earlier this season.

Batting third for Harding, senior Jason Nappi hit two home runs, scored three times and drove in five. It was the second time in his career he hit two home runs in a game. The first was in his Harding debut last season against Abilene Christian.

In the second spot, sophomore Billy Ninemire went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI and a double. Leadoff batter Chase Presley was 2-for-4 with three runs and his team-leading 15th double.

Harding (29-6) scored 10 runs in the first three innings and added five more in the eighth, including two on senior Trent Kinnear's second home run of the season.

Bison freshman Cameron Walker (4-0) earned the victory on the mound. He went four innings and allowed only four hits and one earned run. Daniel Niehls, Marc McRae, Donny Stephens and Billy Ninemire each pitched a perfect inning of relief.

Lyon (12-23) managed only four hits in the game. Roger Glaude went 2-for-3 and scored Lyon's only run.

Talan Roepcke (0-4) took the loss as Lyon's starter. He allowed seven earned runs in 1 2/3 innings.

Harding returns to action Saturday when it hosts Southern Arkansas for a Gulf South Conference doubleheader at noon. The Bisons will be seeking its fifth 30-win season. Harding also won 30 or more games in 2002 (32), 2003 (34), 2007 (34) and 2009 (32).
