FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Harding women's tennis team fell 6-3 to Arkansas-Ft. Smith on Tuesday in the season opener for both teams.

 Harding (0-1) found itself in a hole after losing all three doubles matches. The Lady Bisons responded with three wins in the six singles matches. Senior Callie Huey won in straight sets at No. 2, senior Gina Cielo won in straight sets at No. 5, and freshman Maria Moreno won her Harding debut without losing a game at No. 6.

The Lady Bisons are off for a week until meeting Arkansas-Pine Bluff next Tuesday on the road.
