Brandon Bailey (40),
Josh Ireland (71),
Victor Moya (52),
Rhon Royer (60),
Jackson Savage (71) have combined to play 294 games for the Bisons. Friday at 7 p.m., the quintet will play its final home and will be honored at Harding Soccer Field following the game against 15th-ranked Northeastern State.
Harding enters the game 4-10-3 overall and 2-6-1 in MIAA play and will be playing its final game of the season. The Bisons were 4-4-1 following a 3-0 victory over Upper Iowa on Sept. 28, but have not won in their last eight outings.
Junior outside midfielder
Ryan Wilhelm has been Harding's top offense threat this season. He leads the team with five goals and is tied for the team lead with three assists. He has scored those five goals on only 18 shots.
Northeastern State, who is unbeaten in its last six games with three wins and three ties, will be playing for a share of the MIAA regular season championship. The RiverHawks are 10-3-3 overall and 6-1-2 (20 points) in conference. Northeastern State needs a victory over Harding and a loss by leader Lindenwood in its home matchup against Southwest Baptist to tie for the title. The RiverHawks could finish anywhere from first to fourth depending on results of other games.
Harding and then 19th-ranked Northeastern State met earlier this season on Sept. 15 in Tahlequah, Okla. The RiverHawks won the game 3-1 when Bo White broke a 1-1 tie with an 85th-minute penalty kick. He scored again on a 40-yard blast with just six seconds remaining in the game. Harding's goal came in the 24th minute from
Jona Amssoms.
