ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Harding women's tennis won its final regular season match Tuesday with an 8-1 victory over Ouachita Baptist.

With the victory, Harding concluded the season with a 19-7 overall record and a 5-1 mark in the Great American Conference. It is likely that the Lady Bisons will finish second in the conference standings heading into the GAC Tournament on April 20-21 in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Harding won two of the three doubles matches with Ling Chan and Benyapa Phumtip winning their fourth straight at No. 1. The duo moved to 13-3 overall and 5-1 in conference matches.

Katie Huff and Chelsea Hunt won their team-best 14th doubles match at No. 2. They are 3-1 in GAC matches.

Harding breezed through the singles matches without losing a set. Chan won at No. 1  to move to 11-8 on the season. Phumtip did not lose a game in winning at No. 2. Phumtip is 23-6 in singles matches in her two-year career. Callie Huey, one of three Lady Bisons to have played at all six singles positions during the season, won her first match at No. 3.

Huff became the only Lady Bison to go 6-0 in conference matches with her 17th singles victory of the season at No. 4. Hunt, who is also undefeated in the GAC at 5-0, won at No. 5, and Gina Cielo won her team-leading 19th singles match. Cielo's victory was her 56th career singles win, which moved her into 13th in career victories by a Lady Bison.
