Box Score

SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team picked up their third-straight win Tuesday as they defeated Central Baptist 2-1 in non-conference action at the Harding Soccer Field. The Lady Bisons improved to 3-3-1 on the season.

After a scoreless tie at halftime, HU got on the board first in the 58th minute when a shot by freshman midfielder Melissa Minnich was saved by Central Baptist's defender Libby Fulmer who reached out with her arm to save it. Fulmer was immediately given a red card and the Lady Bisons were awarded a penalty kick. Freshman midfielder Larkin Hatcher converted the PK to give HU a 1-0 lead. It was Hatcher's first career goal and the first penalty kick by a Lady Bison this season.

Minnich gave HU a 2-0 lead in the 65th minute when a cross by Audrey Adkison allowed Minnich to find the back of the net off a left footed shot. It was her first goal of the season.

Central Baptist (6-3-0) rallied in the 85th minute when Lexi Lewis found Ally Lamb down the right side. Lamb dribbled down and found the lower left corner of the net for her third goal of the season.

The Harding defense and Lady Bison goalkeeper Katilyn Miller held on the rest of the way. Miller made her career debut and got the win.

The Lady Bisons will take on Ouachita Baptist Friday in Great American Conference action at 3 p.m.
