Harding

·         Harding plays its third of five straight road games to close out the regular season Saturday when it continues MIAA play against Fort Hays State in Hays, Kan.

·         Harding enters the game at 5-5-3 overall and 3-4-0 in conference play. The Bisons are fifth place in the conference standings, trailing fourth-place Upper Iowa at 3-2-2.

·         Harding has a .500 record after 13 games for only the second time in program history and the first time since opening the 2003 season with a 6-6-1 record.

·         Harding is coming off a 3-2 road victory over MIAA foe Southern Nazarene on Thursday in Bethany, Okla. Freshman Jeremy Rector scored his first two collegiate goals, and Jacob Stevens scored the game-winner in the 73rd minute. Cole Walker had two assists in the game.

·         Harding has won three conference games for only the second time in program history and the first time since finishing 3-3-0 in the Gulf South Conference in 2008.

·         Harding will make another run at a nationally-ranked team. The Bisons are looking for their first victory in 21 games against a ranked foe.

·         Harding has outscored its opponents 23-21 this season and has limited its opponents to only seven first-half goals.

·         Harding has 12 different players who have at least one goal or one assist. Ian Park and Jacob Stevens lead the team with four goals each, and Cole and Christopher Walker each have three assists. Stevens leads Harding with 31 shots and 15 shots on goal.

·         Harding has used two starting goalkeepers this season. Senior Will Lynn has started sevn games, has a 1.02 goals against average and an 81.4 saves percentage. Lynn has won five games in goal this season, two short of Harding's single-season record of seven by Michael Allen in 2003. Freshman Seth Peterson has made six starts and has a 2.08 goals against average and a 69.0 saves percentage.

·         Gehrig Haberstock leads Harding with 1,212 minutes played this season. Freshman Phillip White is next with 1,206 minutes.

Fort Hays State

·         Fort Hays State is an NCAA Division II school located in Hays, Kan., and a member of the MIAA.

·         The 17th-ranked Lions enter the game 9-2-2 overall and 4-1-2 in MIAA action. Fort Hays is tied for second in the MIAA standings and has clinched a berth in the MIAA Tournament.

·         Fort Hays is unbeaten in its last four matches, including a 0-0 tie with 25th-ranked Northeastern State at home on Thursday. It was the first time since the first game of the season that the Lions were held without a goal.

·         Fort Hays has outscored its opponents 25-11 this season and has allowed only two goals in five home contests. Ricardo Yeverino and Diego Cabral have combined for 15 of the Lions' 25 goals. Yeverino is a senior from Dodge City, Kan., and has eight goals and four assists. Cabral, a junior from Asuncion, Paraguay, has seven goals and four assists.

·         Jason Babyak has started eight games in goal and has a 0.93 goals against average and a 79.5 saves percentage. Kent Freund has started five games and has a 0.57 goals against average and an 81.2 saves percentage.  The duo has combined for seven shutouts in 13 games.

 The Series              

·         Fort Hays leads the all-time series 3-0 with a pair of wins last season and a 3-0 victory over Harding on Sept. 28 in Searcy. Jaccob Rangel, Daniel Peralta and Diego Cabral each scored for the Lions. Kent Freund made three saves to earn the shutout in goal.
