Five HU Men's Soccer Players Named Honorable Mention All-MIAA

Jacob Stevens scored four goals and earned honorable mention All-MIAA.

SEARCY – Five members of the Harding men's soccer team received Honorable Mention All-MIAA honors Thursday as the conference released its postseason honors.

The five Bison honorees were freshman defender Phillip White, junior defender Kevin Pineda, junior midfielder Jacob Stevens, freshman midfielder Jackson Buchanan, and senior forward Ryan Wilhelm.

White (Tulsa, Okla./Holland Hall HS) started all 16 games and played a team-best 1,430 minutes. He was part of four Harding shutouts.

Pineda (Fort Worth, Texas/Otero Junior College) started 14 games and played 1,294 minutes.

Stevens (Arlington, Texas/Martin HS) started all 16 games and had four goals and one assists. He led the team with 34 shots and 16 shots on goal.

Buchanan (Tulsa, Okla./Holland Hall HS) started all 16 games and scored two goals.

Wilhelm (Greenville, Texas/Greenville HS) battled injuries throughout the season but played 11 games with eight starts. He scored two goals and had one assist.

Harding finished the 2013 season 6-8-2 overall and 3-6-0 in the MIAA, finishing fifth in the seven-team conference.
