CONWAY, Ark. – Harding evened its 2012-13 record with a 9-0 blanking of Hendrix on Monday. The Lady Bisons moved to 2-2, while the Lady Warriors fell to 0-3.
Harding lost only one game in the three doubles matches. Benyapa Phumtip and Ali Rowden improved to 3-1 with an 8-0 win at No. 1. Katie Huff and Chelsea Lanier are also 3-1 after winning 8-1 at No. 2, and Autrey Bradley and Gabrielle Rowden teamed for the first time this season and won 8-0 at No. 3.
Harding continued the shutout in singles, winning four of the six matches without dropping a game.
Ali Rowden played No. 1 singles for the first time and won 6-0, 6-0 to improve to 3-1 overall. Lanier won 6-0, 6-0 at No. and evened her singles record to 2-2. Kaleigh Wagner is also 2-2 after winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3.
Huff won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 and improved to 2-2 overall, and Maria Moreno is now 1-1 after winning 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5. Bradley won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 and is 1-1 for the season.
Harding's women are back in action Tuesday with a home match against University of the Ozarks. Action begins at the Harding Tennis Courts at 1 p.m.
