MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Harding women's tennis won for the fifth time in its last six matches Tuesday as the Lady Bisons shutout Christian Brothers 9-0 at the TPC at Southwind.
Harding lost only two games in winning all three doubles matches. Chelsea Lanier and Kaleigh Wagner combined for the first time at No. 1 doubles and won 8-1. Gabby Rowden and Autrey Bradley improved to 2-0 with an 8-0 win at No. 2, and Caren Vestal and Cina Catteau teamed for the first time and won 8-1 at No. 3.
Harding won four of the six singles matches without losing a game. The other two matches were also not close.
Lanier played at No. 1 singles for the first time this season and won 6-0, 6-0. Bradley won her fourth straight singles match 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Wagner won her sixth singles match of the season with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 3.
Rowden played at No. 4 and improved to 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Vestal won her third straight match with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking at No. 5, and Tracy Mare' won her first singles match of the season 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
Harding returns to action Tuesday, Mar. 26 when it hosts Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Searcy.
