SEARCY – Harding baseball will meet Arkansas-Monticello on Tuesday for a single, non-conference game at 2 p.m. at Weevils Field in Monticello.
Harding (18-12) is coming off a Great American Conference series victory at Northwestern Oklahoma State. The Bisons won the series opener 7-4 before falling 2-1 in game two. Harding earned its first conference road series victory of the season with a 5-2 win in game three.
Senior Paul Anzalone enters Tuesday with a team-best five-game hitting streak. He is 7-for-17 (.412) with three runs scored in his last five starts.
Junior Jeremy Bohnett has ascended to the top of the team's hitting list with a .320 batting average. Bohnett, a native of Redmond, Wash., leads the team with 33 hits and is tied for the team lead with 19 runs.
Freshman right-hander Collin Campbell of McCrory, Ark., will make his sixth start of the season. He is 2-1 with a 4.82 ERA. In 28 innings, Campbell has 25 strikeouts and only six walks.
Arkansas-Monticello (21-14) also won a GAC series two-games-to-one over the weekend against East Central in Ada, Okla. The Boll Weevils are led by senior third baseman Taylor Eaves, who is hitting .361 with a team-best 15 extra-base hits.
Harding and Arkansas-Monticello met for a three-game conference series on Mar. 23-24 in Searcy. The Boll Weevils won two of three games.
