Harding
Harding plays the first of two fall dual matches Friday at 3 p.m. when it hosts NCAA Division III opponent Rhodes College at the Harding Tennis Courts.
The Bisons have played two fall tournaments – the UAFS Men's Invitational and the ITA/USTA Central Region Tournament. Harding has a 12-18 overall singles record and 8-5 doubles record in the two tournaments.
Harding returns three of its top six singles players from last season – sophomore Arielle Butler, sophomore Piper Huey, and junior Ali Bishop. All three earned All-Great American Conference honors.
Harding's women will have several players who could be making their dual-match debuts, including freshman Gabriella Alves, freshman Emily Faulkner, freshman Laura Golubic and freshman Kellie Laviolette.
Rhodes
Rhodes is a member of the NCAA Division III Southern Athletic Association and is located in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Lynx compiled a 10-5 record last season, including a 3-4 mark in the SAA.
The Series
Harding leads the series with Rhodes 6-2 overall. The series began in 1994 with an 8-1 Harding victory. The Lady Bisons won again in 1995 and 1998 before Rhodes collected its first two victories in the series in 2004 and 2005. Harding has won the last three meetings, including a 9-0 win to open last season.
