JONESBORO, Ark. - Sophomore
Caroline Embry's third-place finish in the 800 meters highlighted Harding's women's performances Sunday at the season-opening ASU Kickoff Klassic, hosted by Arkansas State University.
The Klassic included student-athletes from Harding, Arkansas State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and Arkansas-Little Rock.
Embry, a native of Alpharetta, Georgia, ran a career-best time of 2 minutes, 25.16 seconds. Junior
Tammy Kim of Temecula, California, also turned in top-five finish, placing fourth in the mile in 5:33.26. It was her first career race in the indoor mile.
Harding's season will continue on Jan. 25 at the Emory University CrossPlex Invitational in Birmingham, Alambama.
