Baseball Bisons Host Ouachita Baptist on Tuesday

Harding Notes
·         Harding and Ouachita Baptist will play a non-conference doubleheader Tuesday at Jerry Moore Field beginning at noon. The two teams will play their three-game Great American Conference series April 18-19 in Arkadelphia.
·         Harding is 5-2 on the season with all seven games at home. The Bisons will play their first road games of the season Friday and Saturday against Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla. The three-game series will kick off GAC action for Harding.
·         Harding is coming off a three-game weekend sweep of Truman State. The Bisons opened with 7-3 and 3-2 victories on Saturday and finished the sweep with a 9-4 victory.
·         James Anderson and John Chapman lead the Bisons with .333 batting averages entering the series. Anderson has a team-high seven hits. Trent Wooldridge has a team-best five runs scored, and Matt Calhoun leads the team with four RBI.
·         Harding's pitching staff has a 2.73 ERA through seven games and has struck out 47 in 56.0 innings. Opponents are hitting only .241 vs. Bison pitching.
·         The Bisons will send sophomore Andrew Fiddler (0-1, 6.75 ERA) and sophomore Andrew Ralston (0-0, 0.00) to the mound as starters against Ouachita Baptist. Fiddler will be making his second start of the season and third of his career. It will be Ralston's first career start.
·         Ouachita Baptist enters the doubleheader 7-3 overall. The Tigers opened GAC play over the weekend with a three-game home sweep of East Central.
·         OBU has a .218 team batting average and is led by Keegan Ghidotti with a .357 average. Ghidotti has four extra-base hits, six runs and six RBI.
·         The Tigers boast a 2.81 team ERA. OBU has 47 strikeouts in 77 innings and a .239 opponents' batting average.
